Altum Consulting has partnered with a well-known charity to source a dynamic Head of Finance to lead their finance function during a critical transitional period. You'll manage a medium-size team, oversee financial operations, drive strategic financial planning with a key focus on the implementation of a new finance system.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance team, embedding accountability, continuous improvement, and strong financial controls.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning.
  • Drive completion and integration of the new finance system.
  • Provide strategic financial insight to the Executive Team and Trustees.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and reporting (SORP, VAT, PAYE, Gift Aid).

About you:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in charity finance, system implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Skilled in financial reporting, controls, and fund accounting.
  • Excellent communicator with strong analytical and leadership skills.

This is a full-time hybrid role for an initial period of 6 months (with a possibility of extension) working 2 days per week in their central London office.
