This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and commercially driven finance leader to shape the financial direction of a high-profile operation in London. As Head of FP&A, you will lead financial planning, drive performance improvements, and provide critical analysis to support key decision-making.

The Role

You will take ownership of financial planning, forecasting, and profitability analysis, ensuring alignment with business strategy. Leading a team of five, you’ll deliver high-quality financial insights, refine planning processes, and influence senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the three-year budget cycle, quarterly forecasts, and financial planning to support business growth.
  • Provide detailed profitability analysis, working with operational teams to enhance financial performance.
  • Deliver insight-driven reporting, identifying trends and making recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Optimise financial planning systems, driving automation and process improvements.
  • Support business cases for strategic initiatives, including costing for annual pay negotiations.
  • Manage and develop the FP&A team, ensuring they contribute maximum value.
  • Act as a finance business partner, engaging with senior leaders to support financial decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong financial leadership background with experience in strategic planning and process optimisation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercially minded, with a focus on maximising profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in transport is a plus, but adaptability and strategic vision are key.
  • Knowledge of TM1 essential; Oracle systems desirable.
