Ivy Rock Partners are proud to be partnering with a prominent Educational Insitution to recruit a Head of Student Finance and Income. This senior interim role is ideal for a collaborative and strategic leader with experience in student finance and income collection within the education or a similar public-sector setting.

The Opportunity

This is a vital leadership post within their Finance division, overseeing the Fees and Bursaries function. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accurate student record-keeping and fee-setting processes.

  • Leading a team responsible for tuition fee administration, student loans, bursaries, sponsorships, and student debt collection.

  • Managing the annual tuition fee setting strategy in collaboration with academic and finance stakeholders.

  • Supporting the broader income function by aligning student and non-student income operations.

  • Improving and embedding processes and systems that support income accuracy, recovery, and reporting.

This role will also work closely with IT and registry teams to drive systems improvements, and support staff development across the team.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience leading and developing finance teams, ideally within education or a regulated environment.

  • Strong knowledge of student records systems and income collection processes.

  • A collaborative leadership style, with a track record of process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

  • Ability to manage change and communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation.

  • Strong analytical, communication and IT skills, including Excel and student finance systems.
