We are working in partnership with a highly regarded Top 20 UK accountancy firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Tax Manager to join its growing Real Estate Tax team in London. Role OverviewThis is a senior-level position offering both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of complex real estate clients, deliver high-quality advisory services, and support junior staff development. The role is client-facing and will also involve contributing to business development and internal tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and advise a portfolio of real estate clients on UK tax matters, including transactions, structuring, and compliance

Lead tax advisory projects covering property acquisitions, disposals, financing structures, and REIT compliance

Prepare and review corporation tax returns, ensuring all filings are accurate and submitted in a timely manner

Oversee capital allowance claims and tax planning related to development and investment projects

Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing technical support and career development guidance

Work closely with Partners to identify business development opportunities and deliver strategic client solutions

Stay up to date with developments in UK real estate tax legislation and HMRC guidance
Candidate Profile

ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience

Strong real estate tax background, ideally gained within a Top 50 practice or specialist tax firm

Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading advisory projects

Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships

Strong technical understanding of property taxation, including REITs, SDLT, capital allowances, and CGT

Demonstrable team leadership experience and a proactive approach to staff development
