This UK/US offering are building something exciting - a US tax practice within a Big 4 firm - and they looking for an ambitious US Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to join this established London team.

This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking environment where you'll work with a wide variety of clients, contribute to high-profile projects, and play a key role in shaping a growing team.

The role

As Assistant Manager, you'll:

  • Manage elements of the US/UK tax compliance process and support wider client relationships.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues on advisory matters, including residency and cross-border tax issues.
  • Review US tax returns, provide feedback, and oversee more junior team members.
  • Help establish and grow the US tax offering, collaborating with colleagues across different teams and global locations.
  • Build strong, lasting client relationships through clear and confident communication.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with strong people skills. You should have:

  • EA and ATT qualifications.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing US tax returns.
  • A solid grasp of domicile and residency issues, including the Substantial Presence Test and Statutory Residence Test.
  • Confidence in managing clients, projects, and billing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support and develop junior team members.
  • Drive and ambition to take ownership of your career and help shape a new practice.
