About the Food Safety Auditor job

  • Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the purpose of the Food Safety Auditor is to conduct audits of client food manufacturing, distribution and packaging facilities.
  • You will provide technical training to management and employees regarding the adequacy of their food safety programs, pest management, operational methods, personnel practices and maintenance for food safety and food hygiene cleaning practices.
  • You will communicate to each facility’s management team on their existing compliance levels plus prepare a written follow-up report; recapping all issues, observations and, if needed, corrective actions that should be taken.

Skills & experience required for the Food Safety Auditor job

  • You will be a proactive and focused individual who is ideally educated to a degree level in a food science or related food safety discipline together with a strong technical, food safety or food auditing track record. You must be able to organise travel itineraries, make travel arrangements and travel to inspection sites; be able to work independently of direct office supervision and file all reports.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of retailer and third-party food safety standards (BRC etc.). Industry recognised auditing qualifications are an advantage e.g. Lead Auditor.
  • You must be able to travel extensively throughout Belgium, France & the Netherlands and hold a full valid driving licence.
  • Fluency in English and French is essential. To speak Dutch in addition to French and English would be a distinct advantage.
