Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Westminster

Full Time | Term Time Only | November 2025 Start
Up to 120 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

Long Term Futures are working with a well-established and high-performing secondary school in Westminster to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to join the school's pastoral and behaviour team from the end of November 2025.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Heads of Year, Inclusion Team and SLT to manage behaviour across Key Stages 3 and 4. You'll play a central role in supporting students who are at risk of disengagement, helping them stay on track academically and emotionally.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in youth work, inclusion or school-based behaviour mentoring looking to make a meaningful impact in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students displaying challenging behaviour
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour intervention plans and positive routines
  • Monitor and support students during unstructured times (before school, breaks, transitions)
  • Record and track behaviour incidents and progress, liaising with key pastoral staff
  • Deliver behaviour mentoring sessions and support re-integration into class
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and parents to ensure consistency

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with secondary students with behavioural or SEMH needs
  • Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
  • A calm, consistent and supportive presence
  • Background in youth mentoring, inclusion or alternative provision is desirable
  • Understanding of safeguarding, behaviour policies and restorative practice

  • Easily accessible from Southwark, Lambeth and Camden
