Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Westminster

Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

Long Term Futures are recruiting a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Westminster, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who present behavioural challenges and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone experienced in behaviour support who is passionate about helping young people regulate emotions, improve conduct, and re-engage with learning in a structured secondary school environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and SEMH support across KS3 and KS4
  • Support students with in-school behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
  • Implement behaviour support plans and restorative approaches
  • Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff and teaching staff
  • Support pupils during lessons, interventions and unstructured times
  • Promote positive behaviour, resilience and inclusion


Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting students with behaviour and/or SEMH needs
  • Confidence working in a secondary school setting
  • A calm, consistent and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
  • Background in SEN, youth work, mentoring or pastoral roles (desirable)
