Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading UK property consultancy, currently seeking a talented EIA Consultant to join their expanding and successful Environment, Society and Economy (ESE) team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing multidisciplinary environment and planning team that delivers high-quality environmental and socio-economic assessments across a wide range of commercial, residential, industrial and rural development projects. The role offers flexibility to work from the London office or remotely, with excellent support for career growth and professional development.

What's on Offer:

  • Up to 8% matched pension contribution

  • 28 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) and your birthday off

  • Private medical cover and paid sabbaticals

  • Professional development and paid memberships (IEMA, IES, RTPI, etc.)

  • Inclusive, flexible working environment with genuine career progression opportunities

The Role:
As an EIA Consultant, you will play a key part in supporting and coordinating environmental assessments across a range of development projects. You'll work closely with planning and design teams, environmental specialists, and clients to deliver projects that minimise environmental impact while promoting sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of EIA projects and manage input from a range of technical specialists

  • Research and write Environmental Statements and related planning reports

  • Liaise with planning officers, consultees, and clients to progress projects efficiently

  • Support the wider ESE team on socio-economic and health impact assessments

  • Contribute to the growth and development of a high-performing, collaborative team

About You:

  • Degree in a relevant environmental, planning, or related discipline

  • Demonstrable EIA experience (ideally 2+ years)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of UK environmental planning regulations and the EIA process

  • Interest in wider social and environmental disciplines, including sustainability and socio-economics

  • Strong integrity, enthusiasm, and the ability to work proactively within a team

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to advance their EIA career within a highly respected consultancy that values innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.
