HR Assistant - Law Firm | London (Hybrid)

A leading international law firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join its London-based Human Resources team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to deepen their generalist HR experience within a collaborative, high-performing environment.

You'll play a key role in supporting both legal and business services teams across the UK, EU, and internationally. Your work will combine hands-on HR administration with direct business interaction, making this a varied and rewarding role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a key point of contact for HR queries

  • Drafting employee correspondence (contracts, flexible working, performance, etc.)

  • Supporting processes around leavers, parental leave, and international secondments

  • Assisting in employee relations meetings and note-taking

  • Helping coordinate salary reviews and monthly payroll changes

  • Responding to HR Helpdesk queries

  • Contributing to projects such as policy reviews and system updates

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive mindset

  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise under pressure

  • Comfortable with Excel and HR systems

  • Previous HR admin experience, ideally within a professional services environment

  • Degree-level education (or equivalent experience)
