Overview:A prestigious disputes-only law firm is seeking a talented and ambitious Associate (2-4 years PQE) to join its market-leading International Arbitration team based in London. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on complex, high-value international disputes in a truly specialist environment.

About the Team:The International Arbitration department focuses exclusively on heavyweight disputes, all involving cross-border elements such as foreign laws, international arbitration seats, and overseas clients and co-counsel. The team is active in both commercial and investment treaty arbitration across jurisdictions including the UK, India, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States.Matters frequently involve proceedings under major arbitral rules (ICC, LCIA, ICSID, SIAC), as well as arbitration-related litigation before the English courts - such as challenges to and enforcement of arbitral awards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Acting on complex commercial and investor-state arbitrations under key institutional rules
  • Advising on jurisdictional issues, procedural strategies, and enforcement matters
  • Managing pleadings, witness and expert evidence, and case preparation
  • Working closely with clients, co-counsel, and colleagues across borders
  • Developing effective business and client relationships, enabling you to grow your own network and raise both your profile and that of the firm.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2-4 years' PQE in international arbitration at a reputable law firm (UK or internationally)
  • Ideally English law qualified, with experience gained in a UK disputes team
  • Strong knowledge of English arbitration law and familiarity with key institutional rules (ICC, LCIA, SIAC, ICSID)
  • Minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate law degree or non-law degree with applicable post-graduate law qualification, with commendation at LPC or SQE
  • A commercial mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to take responsibility
