Job Title: MSK Physiotherapist - Band 6 Location: Stratford Physiotherapy ServiceService: Newham - Community MSK Physiotherapy Contract Type: Locum - Full Time Start Date: ASAP Duration: 4 Months Pay Rate: Band 6 - £30 umbrella Equivalent Job Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join the Stratford Physiotherapy Service in Newham. This is a community-based role supporting patients with musculoskeletal conditions through high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy. The service is focused on patient-centred care, flexible access, and collaboration with advanced practice colleagues to ensure efficient care pathways. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality MSK physiotherapy to patients across the borough of Newham Independently manage a defined caseload, including complex cases, using sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalised treatment plans, and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions Work autonomously while contributing to the wider team's development and clinical standards Participate in the operation and delivery of gym-based rehabilitation as part of patient care Collaborate closely with Extended Scope Physiotherapists (ESPs), GPs with Special Interests (GPwSI), and consultants in Rheumatology and Orthopaedics to ensure seamless patient pathways Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with Trust policies Participate in service development, quality improvement, and peer support activities Service Commitment: The MSK service is dedicated to: Providing a positive and encouraging experience for patients Maintaining a clean, open, and welcoming clinical environment Offering flexible, timely appointment access Delivering expert-led care across a range of specialisms Ensuring easy access to appropriately skilled professionals Requirements: HCPC registered Physiotherapist with post-graduate experience in MSK Proven ability to manage a complex MSK caseload independently Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to contribute to team development and service delivery Desirable: Previous experience in a community MSK setting Familiarity with shared care pathways involving ESPs and GPwSIs Experience delivering rehabilitation in a gym setting This is a great opportunity to join a progressive, well-supported team committed to delivering outstanding musculoskeletal care within a diverse and dynamic London borough.
