Arthur is working in partnership with a leading Lloyd’s Syndicate to recruit an Operations Team Leader to join their growing team.In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee a team of Underwriting Assistants and Delegated Authority Administrators, supporting multiple lines of business. You’ll streamline operations, enhance team performance, and ensure first-class support for underwriters.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a team delivering high-quality service and expertise.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, reviews, and staff development.
  • Prioritise and allocate workloads to meet business demands and SLAs.
  • Serve as a systems and process expert, driving improvements.
  • Review and enter underwriting submissions; manage pre-modelling requests.
  • Process policy data and endorsements within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain data accuracy through regular exception report management.
  • Communicate deadlines and progress to stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and audit-ready workflows.
  • Resolve quality and contract certainty issues through root cause analysis.
We’re looking to speak with individuals who bring experience in underwriting operations, along with a background in mentoring, training, and supporting junior team members.The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, coupled with a solid understanding of underwriting systems and processes.This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone currently in an Underwriting Assistant or Underwriting Operations position who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop within a fast-paced, collaborative operations environment.
