Qualified Early Years Educator (Level 2 & 3) | South London | Full Time | 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, shift pattern between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm, with the option to work 4 condensed days | Up to £30,000.00 per year DOE

Wimbledon Day Nursery is dedicated to providing the highest level of care and education for every child who comes through our door. With a highly qualified team of staff and a management team who together have over twenty years of childcare knowledge, we have managed to create a home away from home experience for your pride and joy

We're looking for fun-loving, hard-working, dedicated practitioners who want to join our outstanding nursery.

We currently have openings across all age groups and are excited to welcome the right candidates to join our team.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Level 2 or 3 childcare certificate (or equivalent)
  • DBS enhanced clearance
  • Good level of English language (both written and verbal)
  • At least 1 year of nursery experience (preferred)
  • First Aid certification (required or willingness to obtain)
  • Must be able to reliably commute to South London or plan to relocate prior to starting work

What will your role look like?

  • Build strong relationships with parents and other staff members
  • Plan and implement the daily routine in the room
  • Attend monthly staff meetings
  • Be aware of nursery standards and policies and make sure they are being met at all times
  • Be a key worker for up to 6 children and take responsibility for their records, learning and general care
  • Plan and prepare fun daily activities meeting the curriculum planning according to EYFS
  • To take observations on your key children, ensuring confidentiality
  • Changing nappies or toileting, tidying the room and cleaning equipment
  • To ensure all children are happy and well cared for and their individual needs are being met.
