Role Overview: As a SEND Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting small groups of students and supervising support staff. Your responsibilities will include setting individualised plans and targets, running parent groups, and ensuring that each student receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Overseas Teaching Certificate recognised by Naric
  • Experience working with students with SEND in mainstream or special educational settings
  • A patient, understanding, and flexible approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An existing DBS check on the update service
  • Experience with PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method, and other augmentative and alternative communication approaches is advantageous but not essential

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective lessons tailored to individual EHCP plans
  • Conduct assessments and ensure safeguarding of pupils
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for students
  • Foster independence and promote well-being and good welfare among students
