Engage Education are working with a school in Ealing that supports students between the ages of 11 and 18 with a range of needs including ASD and severe and profound multiple learning difficulties. Each student has a personalised curriculum to meet their needs with specialist facilities including hydrotherapy pool, sensory room and a life skills area. Teachers are encouraged to be creative with their lesson plans and to take learning outside the classroom to improve the students confidence and independence ready for life after education.

The ideal candidate will have not just experience but a passion for what they do. We are looking for teachers with enthusiasm and energy that can give the students the motivation they need. Person specification - SEND Teacher

  • Hold a QTS or overseas equivalent with experience in and SEND environment.
  • Be confident in leading a small team of Teaching Assistants
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Be able to bring creativity, warmth and resilience to the classroom

Responsibilities - SEND Teacher

  • Lead and Manage the class team to create a safe and positive environment
  • Design learning that will reflect the national curriculum and SEND strategies
  • Deliver multi sensory lessons that support personal learning plans
