The Theatre Coordinator will:
  • Ensure professional and national standards are met, serving as a role model for junior team members.
  • Manage staffing levels and skills to meet patient needs in the perioperative environment.
  • Coordinate clinical activities for maximum efficiency and provide clinical leadership to theatre staff.
  • Help achieve performance targets and ensure staff meet clinical and professional competence requirements.
  • Lead the Theatre team, maintaining accurate documentation and a clean theatre environment.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, health and safety, and improve clinical standards through audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments and hospital personnel to enhance service delivery.

The ideal Theatre Coordinator will:
  • Qualified Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with a valid NMC or HCPC registration - Essential
  • Scrub experience - Essential
  • Have experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership and clinical skills.
  • Be adept at managing staffing levels and coordinating clinical activities efficiently.
