Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership aligned with the College’s mission and values.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee curriculum development, enrichment activities, and quality assurance processes.
- Lead and support a committed team of tutors and staff through effective recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of safeguarding, inclusivity, and trauma-informed practice.
- Strengthen external partnerships to enhance learner outcomes in wellbeing, education, and employability.
- Manage budgets responsibly and contribute to sustainable business growth.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or substantial leadership experience within Further Education (FE).
- Proven track record in senior leadership within FE, post-16 education, or an Independent Training Provider (ITP) setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) relevant to FE and Skills.
- Strong experience supporting SEND learners in educational environments.
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Level 3 qualification or willingness to achieve within 3 months.
- Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent (desirable).
- Experience working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people (desirable).
- Knowledge or training in Trauma-Informed Practice with a strong commitment to holistic learner support.
- Demonstrated leadership in promoting inclusive, learner-centred education.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
