Overall purpose of the role

To take control of delegated responsibilities and uphold the standards of service at The Rose & Crown

through effective management of staff, training of new staff and customer interactions.

Main duties and responsibilities


As the Assistant General Manager you will be responsible for:

Assisting with event schedule, coordination and execution

Total service management while on shift; overlooking the floor, bar and communication with kitchen

Training and managing the team to ensure order of service and standards are upheld.

Good building maintenance and ensure equipment is functional, presentable and clean.

Ensuring daily service checklists are completed, as well as additional task lists.

Presentable and professional team, following uniform standards.

Assist with operational management, suppliers, stock-takes, ordering & inventory.

Drive up-selling opportunities and menu training for the team to drive revenue.

Completing duties like EOD's reports and audits to improve operations and site H&S.

Reporting performance and success of the site to operations manager

Inputting / recording FOH deliveries / invoices so cost prices are always up to date.


Qualifications & Experience

License to sell alcohol

Food hygiene level 2 or above


Behaviours

Able to effectively manage a large team

Understanding of Health and Safety Procedures

Able to make considered decisions and communicate to

relevant colleagues

Maintained or improved weekly revenues

Maintained or improved staff costs/revenues (less than 28%)

Maintained or improved public reviews

Maintained or improved GP (%)

Success scores on mystery diners reports
