We are seeking an ambitious and experienced individual to join our team and drive our practice towards continued success and growth. NHS experience is not essential as you will be supported by an experienced senior team, comprised of the GP partners, the finance manager, and our excellent assistant practice manager. We are looking for an individual who cares about public service and is going to bring an outsider’s perspective to the practice.

Job Description: As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring that our team delivers high-quality care to our patients. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance our services and generate additional income for the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Income Generation: Identify and exploit opportunities to enhance service delivery and generate additional income for the practice. This includes developing new services, optimizing existing ones, and exploring innovative revenue streams.

Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and coordinate the strategic Practice Development and Resilience Plan in collaboration with the Finance Manager.

Financial Management: Work with the Finance Manager on staff budgets, reviewing annual contracts, and managing cost centres.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for NHS(E), ICB, community services, suppliers, and other external stakeholders.

Team Leadership: Provide support to and functional management of all clinical and administrative staff, including direct line management of key personnel.

Compliance: Ensure the practice maintains compliance with NHS contractual obligations and HR legislation.

Continuous Improvement: Lead change and continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating all projects within the organization.

Communication: Develop and implement an effective communication strategy for both internal and external stakeholders.
