An outstanding inner London school is seeking a passionate and expert Permanent Teacher of KS5 Biology to join our high-achieving Biology Department. You will inspire our Sixth Form students to achieve excellence in A-Level Biology and cultivate a deep appreciation for the intricacies of the living world through scientific inquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and rigorous Biology lessons primarily to A-Level students.
- Foster a deep and critical understanding of advanced biological concepts, theories, and practical skills.
- Contribute to the development and enrichment of the A-Level Biology curriculum within the Biology Department.
- Assess and monitor student progress at A-Level, providing expert guidance and support for their academic success and progression to higher education in biological sciences and related fields.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Biology Department, sharing best practices in A-Level Biology teaching and assessment.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A first-class or strong upper second-class degree in Biology or a closely related field.
- Significant and demonstrably successful experience teaching Biology at A-Level in a high-achieving environment is essential.
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the A-Level Biology specification and assessment requirements.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, specifically tailored to engaging and challenging academically high-achieving Sixth Form students.
