Full-time | Term Time Only | 90-101 per day (PAYE)

A welcoming and well-regarded one-form entry primary school in Islington is seeking a caring and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This full-time, long-term role is perfect for someone passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of young children with special educational needs.

Position Overview:

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 3:45pm

  • Pay Rate: 90 - 101 per day (PAYE)

  • Contract: Long-term, term time only

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Assisting with learning activities, as well as leading intervention sessions outside the classroom

  • Helping children with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and overall wellbeing

  • Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised strategies

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism

  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a proactive approach in the classroom

  • Is confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs in a positive and calm manner

  • Works well both independently and as part of a wider team
