As a Sociology Teacher, you will have the chance to nurture students' understanding of sociological concepts, encourage critical thinking, and develop their skills across a range of social science topics. Your expertise in Sociology will help guide students in their academic journeys, inspiring them to think critically about the world around them.

Key Responsibilities: Sociology Teacher

  • Teach Sociology to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level Sociology.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a stimulating Social Sciences curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards in teaching and learning.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree in Sociology or a closely related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-Level is preferred, but we welcome applications from newly qualified teachers (NQTs).
  • Passionate about teaching and inspiring students to succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
