A nurturing Primary School in Haringey is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with Autism (ASD). This long-term Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children with additional needs and helping them build confidence and independence.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the pupil's learning, communication, and emotional development. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to create a positive and structured environment.
Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
Support a Year 2 pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis.
Use visual aids, structured routines, and sensory strategies.
Encourage communication and social interaction through play and learning.
Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive classroom.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN/ASD pupils.
A calm, patient, and positive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A DBS on the Update Service.

Pay: 85-100 per day
