Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who need extra care and support?

We are looking for dedicated full time Teaching Assistants to join a mainstream school in Greenwich as soon as possible. This exciting role involves 1:1 support for children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and additional needs, within a supportive and busy classroom environment.

You will be working 1:1 with a Year 1 child who has EHCPs for autism, with no behaviour issues. The class also includes other children with speech, language, and communication difficulties. Support will be crucial in helping these children access the curriculum fully and thrive socially and academically in their class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 tailored support Year 1 child with autism and EHCPs
  • Assisting in delivering classroom activities alongside the teacher
  • Supporting communication and social skills development for children with speech and language difficulties
  • Helping create an inclusive, calm, and positive learning environment
  • Monitoring and encouraging progress in line with individual education plans (IEPs)

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with autism and EHCPs (essential)
  • Knowledge of speech, language, and communication needs (desirable)
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to support SEN where required
