Haringey Council is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Team Manager to join our Adult Social Care division, leading the West Assessment Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a vibrant and diverse London borough.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of a team of Social Workers, supporting adults through strengths-based assessments and care planning. You'll ensure high-quality practice that aligns with legislative frameworks, including the Care Act 2014, while delivering excellent outcomes for residents.
In this role, you'll also contribute to the wider development of our locality working model, working closely with other team managers and senior leaders to drive service improvements. As part of the leadership team, you'll provide cover across localities when needed and act as deputy to the Service Manager.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a qualified and registered Social Worker with proven experience in managing or supervising staff within an adult social care setting. You'll bring strong knowledge of the legal and policy context for adult social care, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to strengths-based, person-centred practice.
Key Requirements:
Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration
Strong understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
Experience of team leadership or supervision
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to support and inspire others in a fast-paced environment
