We are currently recruiting on behalf of a scale-up Fintech for a HR Manager to join their business and work in a stand-alone role, to lead their HR Function (60/70% of the role) and also provide support to the finance function of the business (20/30% of the role).
This is a permanent position, with flexible hybrid working and the salary is £35,000 - £70,000 dependant on experience + Benefits.
HR Manager duties and responsibilities:
Lead the HR Function in the organisation, including:
- Employee journeys (recruitment, onboarding, progression and training, exit)
- Employee appraisals and engagement assessment processes.
- Employee remuneration analysis and talent market research.
- Strategic staff planning and retention.
- Supporting Line Managers in HR practices and recruitment.
- Management of HR-related activities outsourced to third parties, such as recruiting, training, and employee benefits provision.
- Employee welfare and social activities organisation.
Lead the Finance function of the organisation, including;
- Prepare annual budgets for the organisation and each department, track budget activity and report to senior management.
- Exercise cost control and identify cost-cutting opportunities.
- Prepare forward-looking views of the organisation’s financial position.
- Work with the organisation’s accountants to prepare the necessary financial statements to meet the legal requirements and keep the Board of directors informed.
- Work with the organisation’s financial auditors to prepare the company’s regulatory financial accounts.
- Work with the organisation’s payroll provider to prepare salary payments and pension contributions.
- Liaise with the Commercial team to issue and track receivable invoices.
HR Manager key skills and experience required:
- A dependable, results-driven and hands-on individual.

- You will have experience and relevant knowledge to generate practical results quickly.

- You enjoy and are comfortable building relationships with individuals across all levels and have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- You take ownership of problems and have the ability and natural desire to see things through to completion.
