D365FO Managing Technical Architect - Remote - £120k
Nigel Frank are working exclusively with a global tech consultancy, with a fantastic opportunity for a D365FO Technical Architect. This is a delivery-focused position where you would be instrumental in shaping and defining architectures for major clients using the Microsoft technology stack, with a strong focus on D365FO.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the technical fit of solutions, owning both high-level and low-level design, and driving end-to-end implementations. A strong understanding of integration architecture and the ability to design secure, scalable solutions using the wider Microsoft ecosystem-including Azure and Power Platform-are key.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions to capture business needs and ensure the technical approach aligns with both user requirements and strategic objectives.
- Take ownership of the full solution design, overseeing both the high-level architecture and detailed implementation of D365FO systems.
- Develop solutions that prioritise performance, security, and accessibility, ensuring long-term scalability and stability.
- Craft integration strategies and interface designs, making the most of the Microsoft ecosystem-including Azure, the Power Platform, and other connected technologies.
- Act as a key technical liaison, building trust and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, while demonstrating how Microsoft technologies can drive meaningful outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications
- Solid understanding of software engineering practices in enterprise environments with D365FO.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as X++, C#, Visual Studio, and version control systems is essential.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end ERP solutions, from early planning through to deployment, using Dynamics 365 and its supporting technologies.
- Practical experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies, ideally using platforms like Azure DevOps to streamline development and release processes.
- A genuine interest in D365FO and the Power Platform, with awareness of their strengths, limitations, and how they fit into broader digital ecosystems. Knowledge of other Microsoft services such as Azure and SharePoint is a strong advantage.
