The job provides exposure to:

  • A large, Linux-centric, multi-tenant public cloud environment
  • Configuration management tools
  • Heavy use of cloud-managed services (DBaaS, IaaS, etc.) to offload undifferentiated maintenance work from the team
  • Databases of various shapes and sizes, including relational databases, columnar databases, NoSQL, etc.
  • User-facing systems in various shapes and sizes (Windows, Macs, Linux endpoints, physical and virtual)
  • A SaaS-heavy corporate environment that favours flexibility and agility over legacy on-premise technologies
  • Cloud video-conferencing and phone systems
  • Various storage technologies including object storage, file share systems, and cloud-based platforms such as Sharepoint
  • Customer facing experience, internal and/or external demanding stakeholders

Profile

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Server administration - Windows and Linux
  • Public cloud (particularly AWS, Azure beneficial too)
  • Scripting/programming (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Mobile device management controls (MDM/MAM)
  • Video conference and phone systems
  • Desktop support across multiple operating systems - Windows, Mac and Linux
  • White glove, high-touch user support
  • Windows and Active Directory administration
  • Email system administration and support
  • Security and compliance controls (endpoint security, firewalls, etc.)
  • Networking (routing and switching)
  • Database administration

Soft Skills:

  • Superb communication skills
  • Able to manage projects independently
  • Able to learn new platforms and technologies quickly
  • Financial industry experience

Job Offer

This role is offering a base salary of up to £70,000 per annum for a Trade Support Engineer.

This role requires 5 days on site in Central London.

This will be a 3-4 stage interview process.
