The job provides exposure to:
- A large, Linux-centric, multi-tenant public cloud environment
- Configuration management tools
- Heavy use of cloud-managed services (DBaaS, IaaS, etc.) to offload undifferentiated maintenance work from the team
- Databases of various shapes and sizes, including relational databases, columnar databases, NoSQL, etc.
- User-facing systems in various shapes and sizes (Windows, Macs, Linux endpoints, physical and virtual)
- A SaaS-heavy corporate environment that favours flexibility and agility over legacy on-premise technologies
- Cloud video-conferencing and phone systems
- Various storage technologies including object storage, file share systems, and cloud-based platforms such as Sharepoint
- Customer facing experience, internal and/or external demanding stakeholders
Profile
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Server administration - Windows and Linux
- Public cloud (particularly AWS, Azure beneficial too)
- Scripting/programming (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Mobile device management controls (MDM/MAM)
- Video conference and phone systems
- Desktop support across multiple operating systems - Windows, Mac and Linux
- White glove, high-touch user support
- Windows and Active Directory administration
- Email system administration and support
- Security and compliance controls (endpoint security, firewalls, etc.)
- Networking (routing and switching)
- Database administration
Soft Skills:
- Superb communication skills
- Able to manage projects independently
- Able to learn new platforms and technologies quickly
- Financial industry experience
Job Offer
This role is offering a base salary of up to £70,000 per annum for a Trade Support Engineer.
This role requires 5 days on site in Central London.
This will be a 3-4 stage interview process.
