Infrastructure Support Specialist (3rd Line)

A leading organisation is seeking a talented Infrastructure Support Specialist to join its dynamic Wintel team. You'll be part of a high-performing IT department, supporting, maintaining, and evolving a sophisticated technology landscape. This is your chance to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects and supporting business transformation from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver 3rd line technical support across a broad infrastructure estate.
  • Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for 1st and 2nd line support teams, offering guidance and escalation support.
  • Apply best practices in system configuration, security, and performance.
  • Administer and support services including virtualisation, cloud platforms, and enterprise Windows environments.
  • Contribute to ongoing project work and small-scale changes in line with structured change management.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing across the team.

What You'll Bring:

  • Essential Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge across a range of Infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience with VMware and Hyper Converged Infrastructure (Nutanix preferred).
  • Proficiency in Azure and Microsoft 365 services (including Entra ID, device management, and SAML auth).
  • Advanced skills with Windows Server, Group Policy, and Windows 10/11.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • Citrix (Citrix DaaS/Cloud), MS SQL, Ivanti, SCCM/Configuration Manager.
  • Certifications & Methodologies:
  • Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Cisco (at least two preferred).
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience (especially in Service Operation and Transition).
