ICT Engineer Grade 2

Salary: 30k, term time only will be considered

Location:South London area (Merton and Lambeth boroughs)/ Hybrid with options to work from home about 5 weeks a year

Connect Group are working with a leading UK provider of support services for the education sector.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding the company's service delivery expectations, prioritising customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support, and independently managing school networks. The role also involves managing straightforward ICT projects, providing practical training, and maintaining detailed reporting and documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide ICT technical support and guidance to clients and internal staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal support teams and leadership.
  • Manage your time effectively and adhere to the daily work schedule.
  • Perform scheduled daily tasks, such as checking system status and providing daily activity and issue reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on opportunities, projects, and issue resolution.
  • Assist in the management and development of client ICT infrastructure through detailed planning.

Skills Required:

  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Windows Server 2012, Windows 10, O365, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment like projectors, interactive whiteboards, and touchscreens is not essential but desirable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to individuals without an ICT background.
  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting desktop operating systems (Windows/macOS).
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Experience with cloud-based productivity suites used in education (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace), including user management and application support.
