We are currently recruiting for an Accident & Health Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well-known brand in the Lloyd's insurance market.
The successful candidate will work within the Specialty Products claims team, supporting Underwriters with the wide range of products that they underwrite, including Travel, Mortgage and Income Payment Protection, and Personal Accident.
This individual will also be a key referral point, and have responsibility for developing relationships both internally and externally with the company’s Delegated Claims Administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing a thorough understanding of the claims within the Accident & Health and Specialty Products portfolio.
- Ensuring that adequate financial provisions are maintained and reported appropriately.
- Proactively adjusting claims within your claims authority.
- Building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Instructing and proactively working with Panel Lawyers, Adjusters and experts to ensure the best outcomes whilst controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.
- Ensuring that delegated claims were managed in accordance with the company’s claims values.
- Ensuring effective technical oversight of TPAs / Service Providers via regular contact meetings, peer reviews, technical file reviews, and general sharing of best practice.
Key Requirements
- Experience of handling Accident & Health or Specialty Products claims, or claims from other classes of business, ideally within the London Market.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience of stakeholder management.
