Pensions Manager (Pension Remedy)
Reed Talent Solutions are delighted to be working with one of London's largest emergency services, to secure them an experienced emergency services pension specialist on an initial 3 to 6 month basis.
As a Pensions Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring that the service meets its statutory requirements and manages its pension arrangements efficiently and effectively. You will be at the forefront of adapting to legislative changes and enhancing pension management practices to support our vision of being a dynamic and engaged organisation at the heart of the communities we serve.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Supporting with ongoing Pension Remedy
- Lead on the review of changing pension legislation and the revision of quarterly reports and government returns.
- Communicate effectively with members to ensure clarity and understanding of pension changes and impacts.
- Prepare and deliver multi-year returns to the Home Office on the Services Pension Scheme, using data to forecast future expenditures and incomes.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory pension reporting and returns, meeting strict deadlines.
- Manage and support the Services statutory Local Pension Board, preparing reports and supporting the independent Chair in delivering board responsibilities.
- Oversee process improvements in pension administration to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Maintain and develop professional communication with members, providing guidance on pension-related issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in pension management for emergency service employees such as Fire or Police.
- Experience of Pension Remedy
- Deep knowledge of pension legislation and regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet challenging targets.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for preparing and interpreting complex financial and pension information.
- Proficient in IT systems relevant to pension management.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.

- 35 hours per week
- 3 - 6 months initially
- £279.31 to £363.26 per day Umbrella
