Jenius Social is based in Islington London and runs cookery experiences for companies (team building) and private clients

Job Title: Cookery Teacher/ Chef

Status: Casual- minimum of 6 hours per shift.

Rate of Pay: from £23 to £25 per hour depending on experience

Hours: The shifts are predominately on Tuesday to Friday daytime or evenings. Occasionally, on a weekend.

Location:Jenius Social, Islington, Unit 8, 6 Hornsey Street, London N78GR. Closest station is Holloway Road.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a customer facing role. You will be teaching a 90 minutes class to guests who have come to our venue as part of their team building activity.

You will need to follow the recipes and running order that have been developed for each class.

You will need to set up the ingredients for the days event including the measuring and scaling up of recipes.

You will assist in the cleaning and maintaining of the kitchen before during and after all classes in order to create a professional working environment.

We are a small team so it is essential that you work closer together with both front of house and kitchen porter to successful run the event.

An ideal candidate must have:

Must have worked in a professional commercial kitchen.

Kitchen experience of CDP level or above.

Good overall knowledge level of all cuisines

Warm and welcoming personality

Fluent English is essential as this is a customer facing role

Teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
