About the Role

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Greenwich is seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Mentor to join their Key Stage 2 team from 17th November. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential, both academically and emotionally.

As a Learning Mentor, you'll work closely with pupils who need additional support with behaviour, motivation, or social and emotional development. You'll play a vital role in creating a safe and encouraging environment where every child feels valued and ready to succeed.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions for KS2 pupils.

  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Help improve engagement, attendance, and self-esteem through positive relationships.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.

  • Promote inclusion and wellbeing across the school community.



Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.

  • Understanding of behaviour support strategies and emotional regulation.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
