As our Teacher of Religious Studies, joining us in September 2025, with a significant leadership role in A-Level Religious Studies, you will:
- Lead and Inspire: Take a lead role in the delivery and development of the Religious Studies curriculum across all key stages, inspiring high-achieving students, particularly at Key Stage 5, to reach their full academic potential and fostering a school-wide appreciation for religious literacy and ethical reasoning.
- Shape Curriculum Innovation: Have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our Religious Studies curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, the use of primary religious texts and philosophical sources, and exploring contemporary ethical debates relevant to the experiences within the Hackney community and the wider world, with a focus on the demands of A-Level.
- Mentor and Guide: Act as a role model and mentor for students with a passion for Religious Studies, fostering their aspirations for further study and careers in theology, philosophy, ethics, social work, education, and related fields, particularly guiding our A-Level students towards university success.

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Religious Studies teacher with a proven track record of outstanding results across all key stages. Experience in leading curriculum development, developing resources, and working with diverse student populations is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of the A-Level Religious Studies specification being essential. You will possess a deep understanding of religious traditions, philosophical concepts, and ethical theories, excellent pedagogical skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities, with a particular focus on the demands of Key Stage 5.
