Empowering Learning is recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, teaching assistants, or those with experience working with young people who are interested in classroom-based roles.
We're looking for confident individuals who can manage a classroom, deliver pre-set lessons, and support student learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise lessons across various subjects in secondary schools
Maintain a calm and focused classroom environment
Support students in completing their classwork
Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies
Provide feedback to teachers on student progress
We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g. youth work, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or as a teaching assistant)
Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills
Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude
Must have (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS certificate
Right to work in the UK
