Empowering Learning is recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, teaching assistants, or those with experience working with young people who are interested in classroom-based roles.

We're looking for confident individuals who can manage a classroom, deliver pre-set lessons, and support student learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise lessons across various subjects in secondary schools

  • Maintain a calm and focused classroom environment

  • Support students in completing their classwork

  • Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies

  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress



We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g. youth work, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or as a teaching assistant)

  • Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills

  • Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude

  • Must have (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS certificate

  • Right to work in the UK
