As an Underwriter, you will:
- Conduct due diligence to support lending outcomes.
- Identify and address fraud, credit risks, and other issues.
- Liaise with borrowers, solicitors, valuers, brokers, and internal teams.
- Review application forms and legal documentation.
- Prepare indicative terms and loan offer letters.
- Manage loan information using Excel and CRM systems.
- Assist in developing a loan management system.
- Monitor industry news and prepare investment committee papers.
The Underwriter role comes with a comprehensive package:
- Annual salary of 55,000 - 65,000.
- 25 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays.

The ideal Underwriter will have:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role at a bridge lender.
- Ability to manually underwrite without automated systems.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and loan types.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills.
- Methodical mindset with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
