Category Director - Corporate ServicesFinancial Services Business, LondonPermanent, Up to £120,000p/a3 days in OfficeYour new companyYou will be joining a Financial Services business, specialising in financial administration, looking for an intuitive Category Director to help mould the future of their procurement function. They are a global business and have expanded year-on-year, now operating across 20 countries. This organisation has generated over $3Bn in revenue over the last 12 months and plays a crucial role in the world of investing, acting as the backbone of shareholder infrastructure for thousands of companies and millions of investors.Your new roleReporting into the Chief Procurement Officer based in the US, you're tasked with defining the improvement of the procurement functions, whilst pushing the agenda and building relationships with the business globally. You will be managing their spend portfolio of circa $250M USD across their Corporate Services function - owning their Marketing, Travel and Comms categories with a huge focus on their HR spend. You will collaborate globally by partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions, ensuring a flawless implementation / transformation as well as long-term value creation. You will also be building, managing and coaching a small team of around 5 FTEs, ranging from Category Leads to Analysts.What you'll need to succeedYou will need to act as a Business Partner for the business, having experience pushing the procurement agenda globally. You will need to have experience coaching and managing a small to medium team of direct reports as well as being able to build strong and lasting relationships with senior stakeholders. In this role, you will be managing spend of up to $200M USD - you will need to articulate your experience managing similar spend within a relevant industry, across all relevant categories.
