Summary

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic procurement leader to build and shape the procurement function in a business where the function is seen as commercially critical. This hands-on role offers a balance of strategic direction and delivery in a fast-paced, design-led and values-driven environment. You'll collaborate across the business as they go through a strategic transformational period - from Finance to Property - to optimise spend, improve supplier relationships and influence board-level decisions. Ideal for someone who wants to make a visible impact and grow a function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and evolve the procurement function across the business, from internal credibility to processes/systems
  • Build and embed scalable processes and policies, with continuous improvement in mind
  • Lead tenders, negotiations, and supplier selection across all indirect categories
  • Drive savings, value creation, and robust supplier management
  • Develop board-level reporting on spend, savings, pipeline and procurement performance
  • Lead, coach, and support a small team through change and professional growth
  • Collaborate with leaders to embed procurement into planning and decision-making
  • Act as a business partner and internal consultant, educating stakeholders on procurement's value
  • Support systems transformation and leverage tools like SAP and Salesforce from a procurement lens
Key Skills & Traits:
  • Gravitas and strong communication - comfortable influencing leadership including the CEO, who you will work with closely
  • Proven negotiation and commercial acumen - able to track and explain value delivery
  • Hands-on and delivery-focused - equally strategic and operational
  • Analytical and numerate - able to present data-driven insights clearly. The CEO is very data driven so will want to see reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Change-oriented and proactive - thrives in evolving, growing environments
  • Experience managing and developing a small team
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and controls; SAP/Salesforce exposure a bonus
