We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities team at a prestigious commercial building in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all mechanical plant and building services systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services, including:

    • HVAC systems

    • Pumps, motors, and valves

    • Air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs)

    • Boilers and pressurisation units

    • Hot and cold water systems

  • Carry out fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs on mechanical equipment and plant systems.

  • Monitor and maintain BMS systems to ensure correct building operation and energy efficiency.

  • Conduct regular plant room inspections, ensuring all assets are operating safely and efficiently.

  • Assist in the supervision and coordination of subcontractors and specialist service providers on site.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CAFM systems, including job sheets and asset history.

  • Support the wider engineering team with cross-trade responsibilities where safe and competent to do so.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, site procedures, and statutory requirements.

  • Participate in a shared on-call rota and provide emergency support outside normal working hours if required.
