Key Responsibilities
As the Building Services Engineer on site, you will be responsible for:
Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across building services plant.
Working on a range of equipment including:
AHUs, FCUs, pumps, fans, valves
Chillers, boilers (basic checks)
Lighting, emergency lighting
General mechanical and electrical building services tasks
Supporting the wider engineering team to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-run building.
Responding to reactive issues in a timely, professional manner.
Completing documentation, logbooks, and maintaining compliance records.
Identifying improvements, reporting defects, and supporting continuous improvement of engineering standards.
Qualifications & Experience Required
NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Strong understanding of commercial building services
Experience in PPM & reactive maintenance within a commercial environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a site-based engineering team
Good communication and customer-facing skills
