Blueprint Recruitment have a new and exciting opportunity on offer for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy, on a contract basis, outside IR35. Within this role, you will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client's London office, 3 days a week. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Residential and Healthcare projects, stage 4-5.

-Competitive hourly rate of 40-45 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

-Create concise drawings, specifications, layouts, and calculations, for complex mechanical systems.

-Coordinate with other professionals (architects and engineers) to ensure the controlled implementation of mechanical systems.

-Support the implementation of drawings, as-built documentation, commissioning, and submittals, within the construction stage.

-Assess, and provide strategic solutions for, design risks to ensure compliance with current regulations, standards, and sustainability targets.

-Establish and distribute timelines and workload across a variety of projects, using client and stakeholder feedback to develop project designs and plans.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Services.

-Extensive experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, or a similar position, ideally working on Residential and Healthcare projects.

-Strong understanding of design software tools, such as AutoCAD, BIM tools, and Revit, and calculation methods.

-Solid grasp of current building regulations, standards, and principles.

-Proficient communicator with strong teamwork skills, with the willingness to work with numerous stakeholders, clients, and professionals.

-Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage and effectively prioritise workload, whilst maintaining a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
