Mechanical Shift Engineer – Battersea

£43,500–£48,500 + OT | Continental Shifts | Prestigious Mixed-Use Development

A leading FM provider is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join their engineering team on a landmark site in Battersea. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, high-spec environment with state-of-the-art plant and strong career progression.

The Role

As a Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering PPM, reactive maintenance, and fault-finding on a wide range of mechanical and building services equipment. You will work as part of a skilled shift team ensuring all critical and non-critical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant
Maintain and troubleshoot AHUs, FCUs, boilers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers & HVAC systems
 Support mechanical and electrical teams during complex engineering works
Monitor and operate BMS systems, ensuring plant efficiency
Complete shift logs, job sheets, permits, and compliance documentation
Respond to fault calls promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations
Uphold health & safety policies, safe systems of work, and LOTO procedures

What We’re Looking For

Level 3 Mechanical Qualification (or equivalent)
Strong experience within commercial building services or critical environments
Solid technical knowledge of mechanical systems and building plant
Ability to work effectively within a shift team
Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
F-Gas or boilers qualification (advantage, not essential)
