Static Mechanical Engineer Based In Hatton Gardens

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Overall Role:

Service and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment. To provide all required reports/certifications required. Call-out and fault finding on various types of mechanical/electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective running of the assigned jobs.
  • Systematic and logical sequence of works.
    • Carry out reactive and preventative planned maintenance on all mechanical and electrical plant.
    • Provide any required reports/certifications.
    • Fill out log books correctly and ensure all log books are on site.
    • Carry out routine service inspections and reports working to a PPM schedule.
    • Carry out basic task associated with L8 Water Hygiene
  • Ensuring Compliance with Health and Safety regulations/risk assessments.
  • Liaise with customers and tenants to ensure expectations are managed and met.
  • To make sure all site paperwork is kept up to date and sent to office at required frequency.
  • Audits completed and action points highlighted to be resolved by yourself and noted.
  • Provide clear and detailed information when quotations are to be provided.
  • Ensure that sub-contractors used carry out work in accordance with company instructions.

  • To make sure the plant rooms and other areas used are clean and tidy.
  • To inform the Contracts Manager of any issues which are relevant and may escalate.
  • To provide any information requested by Contracts Manager or office.
  • To provide reports where needed for the out of hours servicing, within an acceptable timeframe after the servicing.
  • Responsible for clear and accurate reporting of site conditions to the Contracts Manager.

Key technical knowledge required:

  • Up-to-date qualifications.
  • Experience on Electrical and Mechanical M&E systems.  
  • Experience in Building Services Maintenance
  • Various PPM duties such covered under the majority of building services practices.
  • Occasional out of hours/weekend working will be required.
  • IT literate so as to update jobs and timesheets via tablet/phone.
