We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Tier 1 contractor with a reputation for delivering some of the UK's most complex and iconic construction projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Temporary Works Manager to play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating all temporary works across a major, high-profile development. This role is based at the contractor's Head Office and offers strong career progression within a dynamic team environment.
The Role:
As Temporary Works Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination, compliance, and execution of all temporary works activities across the project lifecycle. You will act as the first point of contact between site teams and design consultants, ensuring all procedures are rigorously followed and works are carried out safely and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all temporary works operations across site teams and external designers.
Ensure all temporary works are designed and installed in accordance with current regulations and project requirements.
Prepare and verify Temporary Works Design Briefs (TWDB) using up-to-date and relevant information.
Manage all documentation, reviews, and inspections associated with temporary works.
Liaise with stakeholders including Project Managers, Site Teams, Engineers, and Designers to ensure consistent communication and integration with permanent works.
Ensure Temporary Works Procedures are fully implemented and adhered to at all times.
What We're Looking For:
Significant site-based experience in temporary works coordination within large-scale construction projects.
Recognised Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification (BS 5975 compliant).
Civil or structural engineering background (preferred).
Proven experience preparing TWDBs and managing compliance throughout the build cycle.
Strong knowledge of design standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
