About the Role:

We are working on behalf of a prestigious private medical clinic to recruit an experienced Senior Medical Secretary for a fast paced and high profile environment. This is a temporary position with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The successful individual will be the heartbeat of the clinic’s operations, working alongside the Business Development Manager, helping to develop relationships with patients and supporting high-net-worth patients, liaising closely with doctors, coordinating complex schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high end clientele, both UK based and international

  • Liaise professionally and efficiently with consultants, GPs, private doctors abroad, and international embassies/hotels

  • Manage and coordinate complex diaries and multiple patient bookings with precision and discretion

  • Walk patients through procedures, offering clear and empathetic communication at every step

  • Maintain smooth patient journeys from enquiry to aftercare, acting as their key point of contact

  • Ensure all administrative duties are completed to the highest standard, including medical typing, correspondence, and filing

  • Uphold GDPR and confidentiality standards in all dealings

  • Support the clinical team with knowledge of GP procedures, practice management, and clinic workflows

Essential Experience & Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Medical Secretary in a fast paced Private Healthcare environment (Clinic/Hospital/Wellbeing Centre).

  • Proven experience managing multiple schedules, patients, and stakeholders simultaneously

  • Experience working with a high-net-worth patient base, offering VIP-level service

  • Confident liaising with consultants, GPs, international private doctors, and hotels

  • Strong and proven working knowledge of general GP procedures and clinic operations

  • High level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive mindset

  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office

  • Comfortable working under pressure and responding quickly to changing priorities

Desirable:
  • Experience with international patients and coordinating across different time zones

  • Previous exposure to embassy or concierge medicine environments

  • Familiarity with medical billing systems in private practice
