- Reduce overall absence rates through targeted interventions.
- Identify and address high-risk absence "hotspot" areas with tailored support and focused action.
- Produce weekly reporting to track progress, highlight key focus areas, and inform decision-making.
- Develop and implement attendance action plans to be rolled out company-wide.
- Provide an end-of-project report summarising outcomes, key learnings, and embedded best practices.
- Analyse attendance data to identify patterns and high-absence areas, creating bespoke action plans and offering on-site support where needed.
- Guide and coach managers through absence-related case management, including welfare meetings, return-to-work conversations, and long-term sickness cases, ensuring alignment with company policies.
- Oversee and advise on occupational health referrals, ensuring reasonable adjustments are considered and implemented.
- Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant records of absence cases and support documentation.
- Collaborate with the wider HR team to produce regular absence management reports, identifying trends and recommending appropriate interventions.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law relating to absence, disability, and reasonable adjustments.
- Proven track record of managing complex employee relations cases involving absence, including long-term sickness and capability procedures.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop proactive solutions.
- Confident communicator with strong influencing and coaching skills to support and guide managers at all levels.
- Experience liaising with Occupational Health providers and other external professionals.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Discreet and empathetic approach when handling sensitive cases, promoting best practices in attendance management.
