The Role:The school is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Assistant Occupational Therapist to join its multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will work closely with the in-house Occupational Therapist to support the delivery of tailored therapy programs that enhance students' participation, independence, and wellbeing in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering occupational therapy sessions, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Support sensory integration and motor development interventions
  • Help monitor and record student progress
  • Adapt classroom tools and environments to meet individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and families
  • Maintain therapy materials and assist with administrative tasks

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification or experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or similar role
  • Previous experience with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of developmental and sensory needs
  • Kind, patient, and flexible approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
