Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and proactive Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Respiratory Medicine team at West Middlesex Hospital. The role supports patient care across ICU, respiratory, cardiology, enhanced care, and surgical wards, with a focus on complex rehabilitation needs and effective discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy across ICU, respiratory, cardiology, enhanced care, and surgical wards

• Conduct thorough discharge planning to ensure safe patient transitions

• Provide complex rehabilitation and support to junior staff

• Work flexibly across departments and within the MDT to meet patient needs

• Operate independently under pressure while maintaining patient-focused care

Requirements:

Essential:

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist

• NHS inpatient experience in acute care settings

• Knowledge of respiratory, surgical, cardiology, neuro, or neuro rehab specialties

• Strong discharge planning and clinical reasoning skills

Desirable:

• Previous rehabilitation experience
